Senior's Perspective - Ryan

Today we visited the College of Agriculture, Food andNatural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri. We learned about the many agriculture courses available to study, and even some that have nothing to do with agriculture. Ms. Julie Scroggs showed us statistics on student at the university, like if the were raised on a farm or in a urban area. They also gave us information on out of state tuition and scholarships available to help us achieve acceptance. We then got to tour some of their classrooms and labs.

Dr. Hendrickson shares her first day college class on Sustainable Agriculture.

As a person going into their senior year, it’s nice to see a college with such a wide range of classes. I found the Sports Management course very interesting, even though it has nothing to do with agriculture. Missouri University is a good option for college, they offer a wide range of courses. So for a person who isn’t looking to go into an agriculture field of work, I could still attend there and study something that is of interest to me. That makes Missouri stand out compared to other agriculture related universities. I can also say that they have a very nice football stadium and athletic facility, which is another plus to this university.
