For the past 5 years, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton have planned and implemented a trip to help broaden the horizons of their students in Hillsborough County, Florida. Each year the trip travels to a different region of the United States. The first year we drove students north to Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, and a few stops in between, where they learned about various parts of the agricultural industry. Since that first year, students have explored the New England region, from the coastal Carolina's to Maine; traveled out west to see the plains of Texas and Oklahoma; flew WAY out west to the Pacific coast where they discovered the importance of the agricultural industry in California and Oregon.
This year, we are trying something new! In addition to traveling and exploring, the students will be responsible for sharing their experiences with a new audience, through this blog. Every day there will be at least two new blog posts from the students. Please travel with us as we see more of the country we live in and the diversity of the industry that keeps us fed!
